Cabo San Lucas // our little getaway
This past week, Mike and I along with my parents traveled to Cabo San Lucas to take in a little sun, have some downtime, and visit Mike's mom who currently calls Cabo home. We left rainy Vancouver to arrive in rainy Cabo...not really what I was hoping for when we landed. Tropical Storm Paul was the culprit behind the high winds + crazy amounts of rain that caused our first day and a half to be enjoyed indoors. This is not the first time that Mike and I have been on vacation + had to deal with tropical storms/hurricanes. In fact, this is our third. Hurricane Wilma got us evacuated from our Honeymoon + Hurricane Ike changed the route of our cruise ship. I am not really sure as to why we attract such crazy storms but we like to say it's because we aren't afraid of a little adventure :) I'm just hoping people won't be scared to travel with us! Once Paul passed, Cabo returned to its normal self with blue skies and high temperatures. Mike and my dad were able to spend one day fishing and actually caught an 8.5 foot Marlin + a large Dorado {which we got to enjoy that evening for dinner}. With a busy summer + fall this trip was exactly what we needed. It was nice to finally get to sleep in, enjoy the sun (my legs actually have some color), and spend quality time with our parents. We came back refreshed + ready to finish out this year strong! Enjoy a few images taken on our little getaway to Mexico.
