Kyla + Anthony
The last 48 hours have been a whirlwind for Mike and I. With finishing + delivering two weddings, photographing a 70's Disco Birthday Party, Wedding Show, and catching a flight early Monday morning to Mexico, lets just say that sleep has not been a priority. But the thought of lounging by the pool in beautiful Cabo was keeping me focused. Sadly there will be no lounging by a pool but rather in our hotel room as Tropical Storm Paul is making Cabo not look so nice. We are praying that the sun will show up tomorrow! So what do I do when a hurricane is raging outside my window? I blog. Meet Kyla + Anthony. These two are awesome. Kyla is beautiful, creative, kind, and oh so lovely. She was the genius behind all their stationary + design. And Anthony...well lets just say that there is always a good time when this guy is around. While editing their wedding I would have moments when I would burst into laughter. I think I might need to do an entire blog post dedicated to Anthony + his great expressions/moments.
During our initial meeting, Kyla showed us her inspiration for their wedding. It was hard for me to contain my excitement after getting a glimpse into what their wedding would look like. Not only were Kyla + Anthony amazing but their wedding was going to be over the top awesome. And it sure was. The ceremony + reception both took place at one of our favorite venues in Vancouver, Hycroft Manor. Every little detail of their wedding was perfect + unique and we loved getting to be a part of capturing all of it. Kyla + Anthony should win an award for best dressed duo. I loved that they picked wedding attire that was different from the norm and reflected their style. I must say they looked dang good! Thankfully Vancouver gave them the most beautiful summer day which allowed the entire event to happen outdoors. The reception took place on the veranda at Hycroft with one long table decorated with wood slabs, and a variety of flowers from The Flower Factory...who also made the stunning bouquets! Dinner was served family style and the food by Culinary Capers did not only taste delicious but was beautifully presented. After great speeches, macaroon cake cutting, first dance, and the Hora, an intense dance off to Rock Lobster was the perfect ending to a perfect day. Man I love these two.
