THE IMPORTANCE OF PAGE-TURNING.
We had been shooting for a number of years when, taking a trip back to Shari's family farm, it hit us that what we're really doing is more than taking thoughtful + artistic photos of some of the most stellar moments of your big day.
Well, it hit Mike. He was sitting alone one afternoon, thumbing through old family photo albums from across the decades. Relishing in the fashion, facial hair + tinted glasses that defined different times, he opened the cover on a book that caught him in the sternum: the album from Shari's grandma + grandpa's wedding.
Gently turning each page, he realized a connection between our work, and these books. That, beyond the images themselves, these were moments in history, preserved as a family heirloom. A legacy piece. And something tactile for people to connect with over the years.
