Our first attempt at an engagement session with these two was the Thursday when the flood hit Calgary + wiped out the highway in Canmore. We were on our way to Medicine Hat but had to take a major detour up through Edmonton. Needless to say we had to cancel + we only had one more opportunity to make an engagement session happen before their wedding...and thankfully we just so happened to get a perfect evening. Shaylea + Tyler will be getting married on Saturday in a beautiful old white church just outside of Calgary. We are sooo excited!! Shaylea + Tyler wanted something natural + fun for their session so a park setting + a holi powder fight fit the bill. All I will say is that any couple who wants to stand in a field + throw holi powder at one another is our kind of couple. We looked up where the idea of holi comes from and it is a Hindu tradition that has many significant meanings. The one that really stood out for us + is fitting for Shaylea + Tyler is that it "celebrates the beginning of a new season". Excited for a new journey to begin on Saturday for these two very special people!
