Erica + Andrew

This Starling Lane Winery wedding. This couple. I don't know where to even start. It was intimate, it was personal, it was a celebration, it was fun. It also was incredibly beautiful.

We have known Erica for years as we all hail from Medicine Hat, Alberta. She too lives out on the west coast now + this is were she met the love of her life, Andrew. Two of the nicest people with the most ginormous hearts. They could not be more perfect for each other.

Erica + Andrew chose to get married on Vancouver Island at Starling Lane Winery and invited along their closest family + friends to celebrate with them. And that's exactly what it was. A celebration of two incredibly beautiful souls coming together. It truly was an honor to be a part of documenting this day.

Erica got her hair + makeup done by the talented ladies at Ma-Luxe Studio in downtown Victoria before heading back to Starling Lane to put on her dress. Erica looked absolutley devine in her Ellebay dress + her flower crown.

There was an anticiaption all morning + that moment when Andrew saw his beautiful bride for the first time brought tears to so many peoples eyes (including my own). Watching these two interact, there is no denying their deep love + affection for one another. It is beautiful to witness + such a joy to capture with our cameras.

Erica + Andrew knew what they wanted for their wedding + we think they so beautifully achieved it. They both love flowers so there was no lack of stunning arrangements by Rook & Rose found around the property. They shared a delicious family styled dinner together by The London Chef while friends + family told stories + blessed the couple with warm + encouraging words.

We were blown away by the community that they have built around them. They both come from amazing families + have a group of friends that have also become family. A community of people that know how to be deep + emotional but also sure do know how to hit the dance floor relentlessly + with passion. As soon as the music was turned up there was not a dull moment + everyone (including Grandpa + Grandma) danced until the sun disappeared. I don't think I have every laughed so much during a dance before.
