Corinne + Adam

Before this Bottega Kelowna Wedding, we had heard about this place. We heard that it had a piano amongst the trees + a pen of alpacas. It sounded magical.

This spring we finally had the opportunity to see this place with our own eyes. Bottega is as beautiful as we imagined. Yes, it does have a random piano in amongst trees and yes, the alpacas are real. We had the privilege + honour of photographing the wedding of our dear friends Corinne + Adam at Bottega this spring.

They wanted a place that they could bring their families to for the weekend + a place that they could celebrate with their closest friends. It really was the perfect spot + was a dream to photograph at.

Corinne + Adam didn't do many traditional things. They got ready together in the morning, sat in a circle with their guests at their ceremony, had a piñata shaped like a cake instead of the real thing + stuffed it full with both candy for the kids + bottles of alcohol for the adults.

We had many favorite moments from the day but I must say that their ceremony was the most beautiful we had ever witnessed. They didn't have an aisle to walk down or a minister standing at the front. Instead, they set up chairs in a circle + had family + friends share stories + gives toasts to the incredible couple. The speeches were both funny + heart felt and had everyone either laughing or crying. What an incredible way to honor two of the best people on the planet.

After the last speech, Corinne + Adam stood amongst everyone + shared the most beautiful words with one another. They kissed, they hugged, they laughed, they danced the night away. What a day it was.

My heart was happy with every click of my camera.
