2014 has been an incredible year for us thus far in so many ways. We are so thankful to be able to do what we love + do it together on a daily basis. We've had the opportunity to explore new places, spend time in some of our old favourites + meet some amazing people along the way. One of the highlights that this year has brought us is the chance to shoot multiple small intimate weddings in some gorgeous settings. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE a big party, but there is also something so special about spending one of the biggest days of your life surrounded by the closest + most influential people in your life.

April + Clarke's journey was one that started as a huge wedding with hundreds of people in their hometown of Yellowknife, NWT, but ended with an intimate destination wedding on the west coast of Vancouver Island. They had their ceremony in a small beach cove near the town of Ucluelet. A few driftwood logs hauled into place by the boys the day before were all they needed to turn this into one of the most beautiful ceremony spots we have photographed. They followed this up with dinner at the Black Rock Resort. No cake cutting, no flower toss, no first dance, nothing too fancy, just some good food, kind words and the people they love...and some good decor + gorgeous florals by Celsia! It was such an honour to be brought along on this journey with these 2. They are a rad couple + we can't wait to head North for a visit!
