Since moving to the West Coast, we have been wanting to photograph a few weddings on the Island...specifically in the Tofino/Ucluelet area. It really is one of our most favorite places on the planet so we were really excited when we got an inquiry from Patricia + Victor who were getting married at the Black Rock Resort this summer. We immediately fell in love with these two + have been looking forward to their wedding for a long time. What started as an overcast, rainy morning turned out to be the most beautiful day. The ladies spent the morning getting their hair + makeup done by the fabulous Denise Elliott and her team. Patricia wore three dresses throughout the day + started with a stunning red dress for the tea ceremony. We love Tea Ceremonies, especially when they are filled with as much laughter + tears as this one was. It was such a beautiful ceremony to both witness + capture. Some of my favorite moments from the entire day. Patricia changed in to her white gown for the ceremony which was like nothing I had ever seen. It was elegant + perfect for her. Patricia + Victor said I do in the beautiful outdoors, in front of their closest family + friends, with the ocean as their backdrop. Gorgeous floral arrangements were seen throughout the venue which were done by Patricia's mom...she also did all of the bridal bouquets. What a talented lady.
