"Your wedding day has a peculiar measure of time. While some moments of the day appear in slow motion, as if every colour and sound slowed down just to make a permanent stamp on your memory, other moments happen so fast that you forgot how you got from the ceremony site to the reception. It truly is the longest, fastest day of your life. The day is so full and robust that you will surely suffer from a "wedding hangover." The day after my wedding I woke up disheveled and exhausted. There were 40 family members swarming to my parent's house to excitedly congratulate us newlyweds. I remember thinking 'oh boy, I'm supposed to go take pictures again?! All I want to do is nap!' but I knew that I would regret it if I didn't go. So away we went. Shari + Mike, my husband and a dear friend packed into our cars and drove for 2 hours through the most beautiful parts of my province. I threw make-up on in the car, let down my tangled, half curled hair and slipped into my wrinkled wedding dress. 20 minutes into our excursion I knew I made the right choice. The whole day was amazing. It truly felt like a second wedding day, only more intimate. In a way, it was more authentic - all of the glam was striped away and it was just me + him; in love and freshly committed. I loved that my wedding dress got another day of use. I loved that I got to slow down, hold my husbands hand and have the focus on us. (I mean, REALLY on us). I absolutely savored every minute of my Day-After session. When the day was over I realized I had been given the most beautiful gift you can give to a bride on her wedding - more time. To top it off, you get an extra day with Shari + Mike. They truly are such a joyful, adventurous & delightful couple. After your wedding day you will feel like they have been life-long friends. However, if you do a Day-After session with them, they will feel like family. I won't even bother trying to explain how amazing your Day-After photos will turn out. That is like trying to explain the beauty of a sunset - it just is." - Hannah
